| HomeBlogFunMusicVideosPicturesMy AppsOther StuffAbout MeContact | A Dog VisitorLast updated on February 20, 2010 at 10:32pmI have had a slight backup in creating photos. I normally process the HDR photos the same day I take them. This time was different. We had a dog visitor on Friday, and I didn't have time to create the photos. Then today I also took pictures. I decided to edit Friday's pictures first... thus I'll edit today's pictures later. Oh well, I liked the dog pictures. Yesterday (Friday), we got home and had a dog wandering around the neighborhood. The dog is still here today, so I think it might belong to somebody visiting one of our neighbors. It is a very pretty dog. Buzz is not FacebookLast updated on February 16, 2010 at 9:44pmRecently I have seen Google Buzz and decided to blog about how everybody seems to say "Oh, look at this... a clone of Facebook with out that many features" or something to that effect. To me, this new service adds to the list of sites that support status updates just like Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, websites using Webs, and numerous others. Story and Camera, not relatedLast updated on February 16, 2010 at 6:32pmFor Health class today we had to write a fictional story about a fictional family dealing with problems in a way to maintain a healthy family. My result was so good I decided to put it on here: Dan, Pam, and Sam's Peaceful Family. And, on a side note... in math class I had a problem that I had to answer with something like: AB is the image and pre-image because I reflected it on itself, translated it nowhere, and rotated it zero degrees (which I found kinda humorous). Kilobyte vs. KilobitLast updated on February 13, 2010 at 7:35pmOkay, for a long time I have known the difference between kilobytes and kilobits (or *bytes/*bits...). I knew my internet connection is normally somewhere around 90KB/s and that it was 720-ish kbps. When I was getting around 25KB/s internet speeds, I would always say that I was getting speeds worse than wireless. Now to what I learned today... NetcatLast updated on February 12, 2010 at 11:07amThe other day I was fixing some issues on my computer that made it so I'd have to type in my IP address on another computer to access it instead of the hostname of my computer (Garrett). I looked at my firewall (since when I disabled it, it worked fine) to see what I needed to allow. I fixed it fine and all. It turned out I needed to allow UDP on ports 137-139 as well as TCP. Then I saw that something else was open on my firewall as well: port 445. I didn't know what this was, so I tried remembering what command I could use to see what was running on port 445. Pacman, Spellchecking, Flickr, DSLR, and OverbendingLast updated on February 7, 2010 at 3:16pmLimit Pacman Speed (not the game...) Cleaning My RoomLast updated on January 24, 2010 at 8:20pmToday I decided that I needed to clean my room. As I looked around my piles of junk, I could see into the closet and see some stuff I didn't know was in there. I cleaned and cleaned and got rid of a bunch of that junk. I won't go into detail about the cleaning, since that was not the most interesting thing in the world (Arch Linux however...). The Return of Garot BotLast updated on January 19, 2010 at 9:54pmYesterday I randomly remembered that I had created Garot Bot a year or two ago. I decided that I kinda wanted it back. Washington ParkLast updated on January 17, 2010 at 12:07pmYesterday my family went to Washington Park. I took along the tripod and took a few pictures. I did the same thing last week, the week before that, etc. This time was a little bit weird though. Normally I get one or two great images and a few decent ones. This time I got a lot of ones that I liked. Hopefully this means I am getting better. That or the weather just happened to be better. The New YearLast updated on January 10, 2010 at 11:59amI looked at my website quite a bit yesterday changing some things. Today I looked at one link I missed, the copyright thing page. It said 2009.... whoops. I now changed it to 2010 since I do realize it is a new year. |
